A wide range of woven, braided, knitted and Jacquard straps
Eurosandow designs and manufactures technical straps for design offices, workshops and the most demanding manufacturers. Our comprehensive expertise in French textiles, from yarn to finished product, enables us to create woven, braided, knitted and Jacquard straps that are perfectly tailored to your specifications.
Whether you work in the automotive, aerospace, rail or general manufacturing sectors, you will find a webbing solution with us that precisely meets your mechanical, dimensional and regulatory requirements.
Our straps are available in rigid or elasticated versions, in a wide range of materials (polyester, polypropylene, cotton, polyamide, Kevlar, aramid, fibreglass, Technora).
They are available by the metre, on spools or in rolls, with or without hooks and finishing accessories. All our textile processes (weaving, braiding, knitting, crimping, overmoulding) are carried out in our workshops in Saint-Étienne.

Webbing adapted to the requirements of your industry
Our webbing can be used in a wide range of applications
Straps for cars
Eurosandow manufactures three ranges of technical straps for the automotive industry. The manoeuvring straps facilitate seat modularity. The upholstery straps ensure the stability of the seat cushion and backrest.
Tubular straps are designed for headliner retraction. We work directly with car manufacturers and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers on airbag restraint straps, tailgate straps, upholstery straps, handle straps and seat adjustment straps.

Straps for aeronautics
In the cabin, our tubular lashing straps secure service trolleys, emergency medical equipment and items handled by the cabin crew.
Woven from polyamide or aramid, they meet the requirements of EN 9100 and offer optimum strength whilst remaining lightweight.
For cargo nets, we produce straps made from high-tenacity HMPE fibre, which halve the weight for the same load capacity.
Straps for railway
Our long-standing expertise enables us to meet the demands of the rail industry.
Upholstery straps for TGV and RER seats, straps used as storage pockets on the back of seats, and technical straps for securing luggage: our products are used by the leading European manufacturers.

Straps for industrial applications
Our expertise in weaving, braiding and knitting enables us to offer technical straps for virtually all industrial applications. The available finishes cater for both standard and highly specific requirements:
– Strap with zamak buckle
– Strap with ratchet tensioner
– Self-locking strap
– Velcro strap
For flammable environments, we offer an optional fire-retardant treatment.

Straps for architecture and building
Metal-textile architecture is experiencing strong growth.
Our webbing is used for façade cladding, tensioned structures, shade structures and interior design installations.
Architects appreciate our ability to offer bespoke colours and non-standard widths.
Straps for sport and leisure
For outdoor activities, sport and camping, we offer an extensive range: straps for securing motorbike handlebars, straps for motorbike batteries, ratchet straps for camping, and straps for strength training, pulling and towing.
All our sports straps undergo rigorous quality control.

Which materials should you choose for your technical webbing?
The choice of material affects all the webbing’s mechanical properties: tensile strength, abrasion resistance, UV resistance, heat resistance and chemical resistance. Here are the main materials we weave, plait and knit in our workshops.
Polyester webbing
Polyester is the most versatile material. Excellent tensile strength (up to 9 g/dtex), good UV resistance and low moisture absorption (< 1%). Ideal for lashing, ratchet straps, seat belts and prolonged outdoor use. Available from Eurosandow as rigid or elastic polyester webbing, in widths from 4 to 140 mm.
Cotton webbing
Cotton is soft to the touch and highly absorbent. It is the material of choice for textile webbing intended for prolonged contact with the skin (sport, medical equipment) or for decorative applications. Its mechanical strength is lower than that of polyester, which means it is suitable only for moderate loads.
Polypropylene webbing
Polypropylene is valued for its unbeatable strength-to-price ratio and low weight. Highly resistant to acids, alkalis and mould, it is suitable for heavy-duty industrial use and damp environments. Please note: it is highly sensitive to UV light and should preferably be used indoors or with a specific treatment.
Polyamide (nylon) webbing
Polyamide combines natural elasticity with excellent abrasion resistance. It is widely used in the aerospace and sports industries for shock absorption (cargo nets, lifting slings, shock-absorbing webbing). Although it is more sensitive to moisture than polyester, it regains its properties once dry.
Kevlar and aramid webbing
For high-temperature and high-strength applications, aramid (Kevlar, Technora) is unrivalled. It offers five times the tensile strength of steel for the same weight and can withstand peak temperatures of up to 400 °C. Eurosandow manufactures aramid straps for the defence sector, the aerospace industry (HMPE cargo nets), fire safety and demanding industrial equipment.
High quality webbing
The quality of our products is at the heart of our concerns. Several quality tests are carried out depending on the customer’s needs and the product’s application. Our webbing is tested and certified to meet the standards of the most demanding industries.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, our products must not be used at over 75% elongation. Our products must be used sensibly without taking needless risks. Our products must not be used if traces of wear are visible.
